“Then, Now, and Tomorrow” commemorating World AIDS Day

December 3, 2025 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

ACR Health will host “Then, Now, and Tomorrow” commemorating World AIDS Day. The event will feature an array of community speakers, storytelling, and a viewing of the AIDS Quilt. The event will be an evening of storytelling and sharing about the history of the AIDS epidemic, where we stand now with treatments, pre- and post-exposure tools, and calling attention to long-term survivors and the issues that they face. The event will also offer HIV/STI testing and resources. We want to honor those we have lost to AIDS by showing up for ourselves and others while standing in solidarity with those still in the battle.

Featured Speakers include:

Kandis Backus, Gilead Sciences

Michael DeSalvo, Friends of Dorothy House

Jaleel Campbell, Artist and Activist

Les K. Wright, Author of Children of Lazarus: The Forgotten Generation of Long-Term AIDS Survivor

Attendees are encouraged to bring photos and share stories about loved ones lost to HIV/AIDS or personal stories about living with HIV. Onsite parking and refreshments will be served.
