ACR Health is seeking a dependable, skilled, and self-motivated Facilities Technician to help maintain safe, clean, and welcoming facilities across our nine-county service region. As a Facilities Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring our offices, equipment, and properties remain functional, safe, and well-maintained. From routine repairs and preventative maintenance to coordinating vendors and responding to facility emergencies, your work will directly support ACR Health’s mission of serving our communities.
What You’ll Do:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Facility Maintenance & Repairs
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of building systems and equipment.
- Complete carpentry, painting, minor plumbing, electrical, and masonry repairs.
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of interior and exterior spaces.
- Coordinate with cleaning vendors to ensure facilities remain clean and well maintained.
- Order, distribute, and restock facility supplies.
- Organize and maintain storage areas, agency keys, and building locks.
- Assemble office furniture and assist with office relocations and workspace reconfigurations.
Project & Vendor Coordination
- Coordinate repair projects and capital improvements.
- Obtain quotes, schedule work, and communicate with landlords, contractors, and vendors.
- Monitor work quality and ensure projects are completed on time.
- Submit invoices, purchase requests, and maintain maintenance records and service documentation.
Grounds Maintenance
- Maintain landscaping, parking lots, sidewalks, and outdoor areas.
- Perform snow removal, salting, litter collection, recycling, and seasonal grounds maintenance.
- Help ensure safe walking and driving conditions year-round.
Safety & Emergency Response
- Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies, spills, and security concerns.
- Participate in occasional after-hours emergency building response.
- Maintain safety equipment and ensure facilities comply with applicable safety and accessibility standards.
- Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for all agency locations.
- Conduct monthly facility quality inspections.
Equipment & Asset Management
- Operate light machinery and perform minor equipment repairs.
- Maintain maintenance logs, inventories, and repair records.
- Assist with the maintenance and coordination of the agency vehicle fleet.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
Experience
- Three to five years of facilities maintenance, building operations, or related experience.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of safe work practices and safety regulations.
- Experience with carpentry, painting, minor plumbing, electrical, and masonry repairs.
- Ability to safely operate maintenance tools and light equipment.
- General understanding of building systems and appliances.
- Basic knowledge of construction and renovation practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Other Requirements
- Valid New York State driver’s license.
- Reliable access to a vehicle with current insurance for work-related travel (vehicle ownership is not required).
- Ability to travel frequently throughout ACR Health’s nine-county service region.
