Medical Transportation is for people living with HIV/AIDS who need help with transportation to get to medical and other services that help them maintain their health.
Medical Transportation can be used for qualifying appointments:
- Medical
- Pharmacy
- Mental health
- Substance abuse treatment by a licensed provider
- Treatment adherence services
- Legal
- Case/care management
- Nutrition Education Program Entitlements such as DSS/Social Services
- Housing Retention Services
Transportation assistance may be in the form of:
- Taxi rides
- Bus passes
- Gas cards
Medical Transportation is a payer of last resort, all other sources of transportation must be tried and denied before a request is submitted to Medical Transportation.
