Classification: Non-Exempt, part-time, twenty-five-hour (25.0) week; occasional evenings and weekends required for meetings, workshops, conferences, and seminars.

Position Summary: The Data Specialist provides support by utilizing knowledge of software and databases, specifically MS Excel, Access, AIRS and analyze data. This includes collecting data, creating, and maintaining a variety of reports and databases that are updated on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Analyzes results and presents results and recommendations to management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Two (2) years of experience in a position requiring use of databases/software, such as MS Excel, Access, AIRS
- Detail oriented
- Ability to create, analyze reports, communicate findings, and provide recommendations to managers.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal direction
- Be reflective of the communities/populations being served; including, but not limited to, bilingual, PLWHA, African American, Latino, LGBTQ, person in recovery, or from the community in which services are rendered.
- Familiarity with HIV primary care, mental health, substance use and other services and resources within ACR Health’s Ryan White service region.
- Effective communication & documentation skills, cultural & linguistic competence, as well as experience delivering stigma-free, non-judgmental, and culturally responsive services is required.
- Computer literacy, including email management and Microsoft Suite use required. Database experience preferred.
- Sensitivity to HIV/AIDS, chronic illnesses, LGBTQI+ issues, BIPOC populations, and a strong commitment to the mission, vision, and values of ACR Health are essential.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Incorporate best practices regarding confidentiality into all job duties and communications in accordance with Article 27-F and HIPAA, ACR Health policies and procedures and other applicable regulations. Protect agency data in accordance with confidentiality procedures and protocols. Observe and abide by the HIV Confidentiality Law and HIPAA.
- Collects data from a variety of sources to update reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis Creates and manages ongoing databases and metric storage (including but not limited to: MS Excel and Access); provides technical support, training, and guidance to application end-users
- Manipulates and analyzes data retrieved from databases and other sources Interprets data results and test for validity.
- Summarizes results creating graphical and tabular data presentations
- Presents analyses of data projects, explaining trends and areas of opportunity to management
- Performs other administrative duties as assigned, but only when trained to do so.
- Observe ACR Health policies and procedures, and other relevant regulations for client and agency data security. Protect agency data in accordance with requirements.
- Participate in ongoing community service meetings/committees both locally and regionally to promote support services programs.
- Attend all meetings and trainings. Maintain and enhance ongoing and effective collaboration with all other internal ACR Health programs.
- Participate as a culturally competent member of ACR Health, which includes having the capacity to function effectively as an individual within the context of cultural beliefs, behaviors, and needs presented by clients and their communities.
- Work in a cooperative, collegial style with all other organizational personnel.
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner as an agency employee and representative.
- Attends all AIDS Institute and ACR Health required meetings and trainings.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Data Specialist, Chief Program Officer and/or Chief Executive Officer.
