Behavioral Health Education and Engagement Services
ACR Health offers Behavioral Health Education and Engagement Services for eligible individuals through group and individual behavioral health education sessions, and through peer navigator support. The goal of the program is to improve and increase eligible participant’s access to, engagement with, and adherence to behavioral health and overall medical care and treatment. Eligible participants typically have never received behavioral health treatment or have disengaged from care, and face barriers to accessing services due to socioeconomic and/or demographic characteristics. Through group and individual education, and additional peer navigator support; eligible participants learn to decrease the stigma of behavioral health treatment, increase health literacy, discuss various options for care, and discuss the importance of overall medical treatment adherence. Through the Behavioral Health Education and Engagement Services Program participants will increase engagement in behavioral health treatment, increase engagement in medical health care, and increase treatment adherence; ultimately increasing better health outcomes overall.
